distortions

when I first saw this I was blown away. The realization of the flipside of what really happens in some advertisement is atonishing. This small piece says alot of where we're at today and the troubles that are happening within our society. Now, I am more aware of what looks natural and what is distorted. Automatically my mind does not trust what my eyes are seeing especially when I see an advertisement that's trying to make me feel like I'm inadequate.

I really like the way the model is still while everything around her is in full operation. The message it was trying to portray was met and in a short amount of time. Essentially some of us earth dwellers live in a face-paced society and this met our ADHD time limit. Our attention span is twindling.

I always knew that they did some of that. But that really makes you think about what you see on any mass communication medium.

This is a powerful and tightly edited video that begins to reveal how our reality is constructed, particularly in defining standards of beauty. We all need to develop our media literacy skills in the world today. Thanks for posting.
